For 25 years, AMI Attachments has been finding new and better ways to help equipment owners get more from their machines. What began as a small Ontario agricultural manufacturing business has grown into a North American manufacturer of premium attachments and provider of coupler solutions.

Founded in 2001 as Agway Manufacturing Inc., the company first built farm equipment. Founder Steve Frey and his team soon saw an opportunity to bring the same practical, problem-solving approach to construction attachments. As demand grew, the business evolved into AMI Attachments. Today, AMI manufactures more than 200 attachment products for excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes, compact equipment and more.

Over the years, AMI has earned a reputation for high-quality attachments designed to perform in demanding applications and help operators do more, every day. That growth has been built on strong relationships, skilled work and a commitment to quality and practical innovation—values that continue to guide how AMI supports customers and dealers across North America.

Behind every AMI product are the welders, fabricators, engineers, machinists, production staff and support teams who bring it to life. Many employees have built long careers with the company, including leaders who started on the shop floor and grew into larger roles over time.

Growing for the Next Chapter

In April 2026, AMI opened a second manufacturing facility in Elmira, Ontario. The 22,000-square-foot plant added approximately 15 percent more welding capacity, combines manual weld bays with robotic welding centres and created 10 new positions. The expansion is an investment in the people, processes and capacity needed to support customers and dealers as AMI grows.

As AMI looks ahead, the focus remains on innovation, stronger partnerships and premium attachments that help customers get more from their equipment. Throughout the anniversary year, AMI will continue celebrating the employees, customers and dealers who have shaped its first 25 years—and will help carry the company into the next 25.

Join Us at Our Elmira Community Open House

As part of our 25th anniversary celebrations, we’re opening the doors to our newest facility in Elmira, Ontario, for a local community event.

1–4 p.m.
AMI Plant 2, 50 South Field Dr., Elmira, Ontario

Tour the plant, see excavators, wheel loaders and AMI attachments on display, and enjoy family-friendly activities, snacks and refreshments. The event will also include a raffle, with 100% of proceeds donated to the local food bank. AMI team members will be available to speak with job seekers about current opportunities and future career paths.
